On Wheels, On Mission: Our Mobile Clinics Bringing Hope to Remote Villages

For mothers in Uganda’s hard-to-reach communities, accessing healthcare often means walking hours while in labor or carrying sick children across difficult terrain. That’s why MACHES Uganda’s mobile clinics are revolutionizing rural healthcare delivery.

Each month, our three specially-equipped vans travel over 600km to provide:

  • Antenatal checkups and ultrasound scans
  • Child immunization services
  • HIV testing and ARV refills
  • Emergency obstetric care
  • Health education sessions

Last quarter, our mobile units served 32 remote villages in Hoima District, conducting 284 antenatal visits and immunizing 167 children who had never before received vaccines. “The clinic coming to our village saved my granddaughter,” says elder Mzee Katumba. “She got her jabs just before a measles outbreak.”

Your support helps keep our wheels turning and our medical teams reaching mothers and children who would otherwise go without care. Because no life should be endangered by distance.
